100 on 100th Test: As the England tour of India commences, the two teams are involved in a first Test match. The watchers have witnessed a few bombastic performances out of which one is the Joe Root’s test hundred.

Hundred is special yes but what makes it more special? The skipper Root is standing in his hundredth red-ball game and proceed to make it exceptional with a ton.

The test, taking place in Chennai, Ahmedabad Stadium, has witnessed Root’s 20th test ton that came up when he smashed a breathtaking single on Washington Sundar’s off-spin delivery.

The player has crossed over 8,000 Test runs having an average of over 49. He is the 15th English men to appear in the 100th red-ball match in a total of 144 years.
