Pakistan’s red-ball pro spinner, Yasir Shah, has dragged himself into hot water by claiming that he is fully fit despite PCB sidelining him from the team due to his ‘knee injury.
As the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the squads for South Africa and Zimbabwe tours, Yasir has been eliminated from the squad. PCB believes that he is not a fully fit comeback in the team.
He sustained a knee injury during the South Africa tour of Pakistan in early 2021. As of now, Yasir feels fully fit, but PCB is not in favor of choosing him, saying he is still ‘unfit.’
Yasir claimed that he could begin net training to grasp his talent back in a few weeks. His statement has led PCB arrogant, for which the board is to take serious action against him.
The national board will soon be taking disciplinary action as per the policies on fitness controversy created. Notably, not only Yasir Shah but many players have been dropped from the squad that is still creating quarrels.
A big blow for Yasir Shah
Now when I have healed from a knee dilemma, I can begin training in the nets in a few days and probably would be in the best of rhythm in a few weeks,
Mohammad Wasim, the newly elected selector of PCB, believes that Yasir needs to maintain his bowling action and health as the injury was not the only reason to sideline him from the Test team.
We want him to strive on both concerns and get fully recovered. This was the sole reason for which he was sidelined from the Test series versus Zimbabwe,
It is to be noted that Yasir grasped seven wickets in the first Test vs SA whereas, they could pick only one wicket in the second Test match.
