A story of bromance between Zampa and Stoinis

On January 14, the Big Bash League shared a photo of Melbourne Stars teammates Haris Rauf visiting Marcus Stoinis and Adam Zampa’s Love Café. It was an amazing joy of friendship that was shown between the sides. But there was always something about the Australian duo, leg-spinner Adam Zampa and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis.

In 2019, when Australia won the back-to-back ODI series against India (3-2) and Pakistan (5-0), there was a scene between the the duo. It happened during the second match against Pakistan, where both of them were seen showering love on each other. Marcus Stoinis went one step ahead and added stories to his Instagram handle in which Zampa was kissing him and the all-rounder was also enjoying his gesture.

Marcus Stoinis was asked about the bromance where he clarified that they are good mates.

“We are good mates, that sort of stuff gets you through long tours and all that sort of thing. A bit of banter, a bit of laugh. You can’t take yourself too seriously. We have got a good bond in the team and there’s a good group,”

Stoinis further said that a person can’t take himself too seriously while adding that the current Australian side shares a good bond between themselves.

Zampa and Stoinis’ “Love Café” was first seen in 2019 during the tour of England, where Australia draw the Ashes 2-2 and retained the urn. The pair would meet in Zampa’s room every morning in England for a hand-made coffee.

Then the “Love Café” was back again in the ongoing Big Bash League 2020-’21, where this time, Pakistan speedster and Melbourne Stars teammate Haris Rauf joined the duo. All three players had a tough time in the bio-bubble with different restrictions were imposed on different places.

Whatever may that be, the bromance between Adam Zampa and Marcus Stoinis is a fan favorite enjoyed by many.
