Pakistan’s great, Babar Azam has turned 27 today as Twitteratzi celebrates his birthday with immense joy and cheering. Green Shirts’ all formats skipper, very crucial to the batting line-up at the top order, is gathering adorable wishes and love not only from Pakistan but from across the globe.
The Lahore-born first sought cricket fraternity’s attention during a U19 World Cup more than a decade ago and popped up once again as the run-making machine with top-notched numbers in 2012.
At the young age of 22, Azam got highlighted in Pakistan Cricket World for his phenomenal performances versus the West Indies in the UAE where he added three consecutive tons in ODIs.

The master of cover drive with classic batting tricks has remained the world’s number one T20I batsman and now holds the first spot in ODIs. He is also the top run-scorer in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and on and off tweaks the first, second positions with his cousin, Kamran Akmal.
Babar Azam, fastest to 2000 and 7000 T20I runs, is also the only Pakistani batter to smash three T20I hundreds in a calendar year. Across all formats and 179 matches, he has accumulated 8551 runs and soon will reach a milestone of 10000 international runs.
