Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan Captain was present in the virtual media interaction organized ahead of the Pakistan tour of Zimbabwe and South Africa.
He was asked several questions out of which one regarded the recent issue addressing conflicts between Babar and the PCB chief selector, Mohammad Wasim.
The past statements of Babar showed that the relations between PCB and the captain are not healthy. As a journalist inquired, Babar added that disagreements upon the selection and presenting one’s opinion is a ‘healthy debate and it should continue.
He confirmed that the chief selector and he had differences in the choices but denied uttering out further details. He believes what happens inside the room, should stay in rather than being on-screened.

The captain further included that Mohammad Wasim has already addressed the issue presenting the reason for deselecting those players and his target is to choose the playing XI to perform on the field.
Along with that, he was also queried regarding Hamiza Mukhtar’s scandal upon which Babar added that he does not want to comment on it as the matter is active in the court. He believes the court will be sorting out wth the relevant answers by his lawyers.
