To all the criticism Hasan Ali has been facing following his below-average performances this T20 World Cup, the captain Babar Azam has raised his voice in the player’s support calling him the ‘main’ of the bowling line-up.

Azam says ups and downs are part of every athlete’s career and that, Hasan can not be eliminated for a few substandard showcases. While throwing weigh behind the struggling quick bowler, Babar urged he cannot even think about dropping Hasan from the squad.

Furthermore, he says the key players deserve back and appreciation for their performances rather than demotivating them for a few bad performances. The whole PCB management stands behind the bowler.

Babar is optimistic to see Hasan performing in the semifinal scheduled for 11th November versus Australia. He states the paceman has won matches, and even the tournaments for the team.

“I can’t think of leaving him out. He is my main bowler. He has won us matches, won us tournaments. Ups and downs are part of anyone’s career and when you are little down, you must back your key player and the whole team is behind him. He is mentally very strong and I believe he is a big match player and will deliver in semi-finals.”

In five matches Pakistan have played and turned out victorious in, Hasan has bagged five wickets being quite expensive in each match.
