According to the latest IPL News, Deepak Chahar, one of the major contestants of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has been expelled from the majority of the 15th version of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022). The Yellow army re-auctioned the player for a whopping amount of INR 14 Crore, making him one of the most expensive IPL bids of the season.
It has been learnt the bowler is most likely to miss the entire extravaganza following his injury. The reports state the right-arm medium-fast bowler sustained a quadricep tear during the IND vs WI final T20I in February. The injury also made him miss the home series versus Sri Lanka and will take a few more weeks to regain his fitness back.
According to reliable reports, the CSK are awaiting a final assessment from Bengaluru’s National Academy, where Chahar is currently under the rehabilitation process. CSK made a big bid to have him on the board leaving behind the proposals of other franchises for the bowler.
Surprisingly, IPL 2022 mega auction was the first-time ever MS Dhoni’s team spent such a hefty amount on a player. Deepak’s absence can put the team in great tension since he has been plucking the wickets from the front. The side will be wanting him in most of the matches since they already have been taking precautions to repolish their gem.
Chahar tied the knots with CSK back in 2018. He has grasped 58 wickets since then. The people have also seen his bat talk in the recent tasks. In the same year, he made his International debut in the limited-over cricket for India. His IPL team is yet to think of a replacement.
