Commentary panel for Asia Cup 2022 revealed

Commentary panel for Asia Cup 2022 revealed

The 15th edition of the Asia Cup is due to be played between August 27th and September 11th as the preparations are underway with a full craze. The commentary panel for Asia Cup 2022 has also been revealed, including Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram, Gautam Gambhir, Russel Arnold, Deep Dasgupta, Scott Styris, Sanjay Manjrekar and Athar Ali Khan. However, the fans are not happy with the inclusion of the mentioned names.

The event was earlier scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka, but following the poor financial and economic condition in the island nation, it has been shifted to the UAE. It must be remembered that despite shifting the venue, Sri Lanka are the host of the Asia Cup 2022.

The opening encounter will be played between the hosts Sri Lanka and Afghanistan on August 27th at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, whereas the second encounter will be much-hyped, including the arch-rivals India and Pakistan.

This time, the Asia Cup will be played in T20 format. Six teams, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and one from UAE, Kuwait, Hong Kong, or Singapore, upon qualifying, will feature in the ACC contest.
