The remainder of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL 6) is to recommence at Abu Dhabi, UAE, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and franchises’ stakeholders found it appropriate to move the extravaganza out of the nation amidst the COVID surge. While moving a long list of players to Abu Dhabi in a truncated window has been a challenging task almost 25 players got visa issues at the time of flight.

The remaining players flew away whereas, the rest of them waited in their respective hotels in Karachi and Lahore. The big names of the players included Quetta Gladiators Sarfaraz Ahmed and Mohammad Hasnain. A few out of the remaining flew in the next two days, however, are of five cricketers still await UAE visa clearance for the PSL 6. It is pertinent to mention here that the residence visa is no more allowed by the UAE government.

Reportedly, these five cricketers are named Umar Amin, Asif Afridi, Imran Randhawa, Hammad Azam, and Khalid Usman. Upon their arrival in UAE, they will be going under a mandatory quarantine period that reportedly has been shortened to five days.

News speculates that Khalid and Azam have terminated their club contracts in England for PSL 6. The national team will be flying to England after coiling up the PSL as the matches begin by 8th July composing a three-match ODI series and as many T20Is.

It is pertinent to mention here that the PSL 6 was called off after successfully broadcasting 14 matches. The fifteenth encounter, as per schedule, will be held between the Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
