Dale Steyn hits back at Simon Doull’s comments

Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators were involved in a high thriller game eight of PSL last night.

On the backs of captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and Azam Khan’s 81 and 47 runs respectively, supported by Faf du Plessis’ 37, Quetta Gladiators put on 198 runs in 20 overs. For the past seven games, teams winning the toss and electing to field first have won the matches, but Quetta could have broken the jinx.

By the 17th over of Peshawar Zalmi, they were 158-5 and were required 41 runs in 18 balls. But what was followed was an extraordinary win. Out of the remaining runs, Dale Steyn conceded 21 runs in his final over, which set the course of the match for Peshawar Zalmi.

Dale Steyn, who’s figures were 2-23 in three overs, ended up with 2-44 in four. He did a massive job in keeping Peshawar Zalmi in a tough position. But one final over just destroyed his figures in pieces.
