Pakistan veteran, Mohamad Hafeez has smashed a splendid 99 not out in the second T20I against New Zealand at Seddon Park on 20th December. The score has been extravagantly smart but could not spare the unlucky Men in Green from the series loss.
Kiwis have listed a second consecutive T20I victory against them to win the three-match series by 2-0 declaring Hafeez’s 99* of no use for the guests.
He was just a single run away from his maiden T20I hundred. The consequent would also have made him the second Pakistani man to register T20I hundred but the unlucky veteran missed on one run.
Notably, Ahmed Shehzad is the only Pakistani batsman to list a T20I hundred th at came up against Bangladesh in March 2014. It took 64 balls for Ahmed to reach 111 and stayed not out sticking to his brilliancy. The match ended presenting a 50-run win to Pakistan in the World T20.

It is to be noted that Mohammad Hafeez has surpassed the record of Heinrich Gericke’s of Malta who scored 91 against Bulgaria becoming the only player to score 99* at the age of 40 or above.
