Eoin Morgan breaks fast with Muslim community at Lord's

England Cricket Team’s limited-overs skipper Eoin Morgan had his first-ever Iftaar at the Lord’s stadium on Friday. He joined the Muslim community for his first Iftaar at the iconic ground and adored the Ramadan Kareem vibes.

The event of Iftaar-cum-dinner was organized by Tameena Hussain, former Technical Support Engineer and current Service Desk & Desktop manager at the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Whereas, it was hosted by Atif Nawaz, who is an actor, writer, commentator, and a stand-up comedian. Both of them thanked the cricketer for joining the community on 22nd April at the Lord’s.

Morgan took it to Twitter and said the night was enjoyable with the Home of Cricket hosting its first-ever Iftaar. He penned out,

Really enjoyable evening last night @HomeOfCricket hosting its first ever Iftaar. Ramadan Kareem

Not only Morgan but Graham Gooch got the spotlight during the eve. Also, the female Scotland cricketer, Abtaha Masood also shared her experience of breaking the first-ever Iftaar at the Lord’s.

She wrote,

Had an amazing time at the ECB’s first ever iftaar at Lords. The night was so well put together by the organisers. To be able to break my fast at the Home of Cricket in the presence of so many inspirational people was such a blessing. Inshallah many more to come
