Fans trolled Gautam Gambhir on India-England prediction

The ongoing Test series between India and England is an important series not just for these two teams, but for Australia as well. The final outcome of this four-match Test series will determine who will qualify for the final of ICC World Test Championship.

India is required to win the series by 4-0, 3-0, 3-1, 2-0 or 2-1 to qualify. England is required to win the series by 4-0, 3-0 or 3-1 to qualify.

However, if the series is drawn 2-2, 1-1, 0-0 or won by India 1-0 or won by England 2-0, 2-1 or 1-0, Australia will qualify for the final and will face New Zealand.

In the first Test match, England completely dominated the Test. They defeated India by 227 runs after Joe Root’s magnificent 218 that led England to 578 in the first Innings. India managed 337, but they conceded the lead of 241. England continued to bat, and set India a target of 420. India in the end managed only 192, losing the match by 227 runs.

Now India cannot lose a single Test match in the series. If they do, they will be eliminated from the World Test Championship race to the final and will leave it in the hands of Australia and England.

Fans trolled Gautam Gambhir for his prediction

Former Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir predicted the outcome of the India against England series, where he believed that England won’t win a single Test match in India because of the “kind of spin attack they’ve got”.

However, the outcome came as England completely dominating the first Test match in Chennai, winning by 227 runs. Indian fans in particular were not happy with his statement and they took no time to come out and start trolling Gautam Gambhir.
