Four to five years left, says Imad Wasim about his career

Imad Wasim, in a recent interview with Cricket Pakistan, opened up about his ambitions for the next phase of his cricketing career.

He expressed his joy in simultaneously enjoying both batting and bowling, stating,

“My batting form hasn’t dipped, and it’s the same. I am enjoying both batting and bowling right now, to be very honest. These are my last four to five years, where I want to enjoy cricket and express it in a different way. So this is what I am trying, and things have been going exactly as I want them to be. I will try my level best to continue this, improve it even more, and bring more brilliance to both of my fortes.”

Reflecting on his return to international cricket, Imad described it as a normal experience, given his unwavering focus on serving his country. He added,

“Everything was absolutely normal. Of course, it’s an honor to play for the country, for Pakistan. Rest everything was smooth and normal. There is a different buzz when you are playing for the country, so it was definitely there.”

Since his T20I comeback, Imad has been in sensational form, making a significant impact with the ball. Against New Zealand, he showcased his skill and determination, taking eight crucial wickets in five matches at an impressive average of 10.37 and an economy rate of 5.93.

Imad Wasim’s resurgence in the Pakistan Super League and the national team has solidified his status as a force to be reckoned with.
