Royal Challengers’ Bangalore crucial batsman, Glenn Maxwell of Australia, heaps praises on the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he believes that the world’s cash-rich league has provided him a platform to ascertain his exclusive T20I career.

Maxwell, being an expert limited-over batsman, has 1780 T20I runs featuring the continuation of his career with 72 matches.

He has a well-maintained strike rate of 158.9 with an average of 31.8. Maxwell believes that IPL is the one as a consequence of which, he has improved his techniques contributing to his excellent T20I stats for the Australian Cricket Team.

He further added that he has adopted Indian conditions and performed in Dubai in IPL 2014. Being an expert in sub-continents batting conditions, the Aussie said that he had a few ODIs and Tests which could have been underperformed without IPL.

In short, IPL is serving as a practicing platform for many players. Along with it, many seek their preparation from the league for the upcoming world’s event either.

In a Twitter video posted by the official RCB account, Maxwell added,

“I have been a massive beneficiary of the IPL. It has certainly fast-tracked my international T20 career, I have been able to experience the Indian conditions, we had an IPL in Dubai in 2014 and I was able to perform really well over there.”

“After that, I got a bit pigeon-holed in Australia over being a sub-continent specialist. It got me a few ODIs and Test tours which I probably would not have been able to do if not for the IPL,”
