How Quetta Gladiators can qualify for PSL 7 playoffs?

Multan Sultans’ massive victory over Quetta Gladiators on Friday’s day match has propelled Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars into HBL PSL 7 playoffs. With Sultans already being the first to qualify, the fourth and the final spot is now eyed by Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators.

Sarfaraz Ahmed’s purple force is although fifth on the table alongside Shadab Khan’s United having hefty chances of qualifying for PSL playoffs, Gladiators yet can pave their way to the destination with some ifs and buts.

On the one hand, United are fourth on the table with eight points from four wins out of eight played, whereas, the Gladiators are two points behind with six wins out of nine matches.

Quetta are scheduled to encounter the in-trouble Karachi Kings in their next match. Alongside KK vs QG being a must-win match for Sarfaraz’s side, they will need Lahore Qalandars to thrash away Sahadab’s men on Saturday evening to further polish their chances for PSL 7 playoffs qualification.

However, if United win, Quetta’s all hopes will be dashed. In conclusion, Qalandars must beat United and Gladiators must win versus Karachi in order to be on the 4th on PSL 2022 points table.

Yet, there are some scenarios despite all favouring Sarfaraz’s team here. Suppose, everything happens as mentioned above, Gladiators will equal points with United; 8. In such a case, there will be a tie between two teams and NRR will be taken into account for either of their’s qualification.

So far, QG do not have an appealing NRR and will be praying for a big win versus the Kings and ISLU’s massive loss versus LQ.

Quetta Gladiators’ heavy defeat vs Multan Sultans drag them in hot waters:

As far as QG vs MS that took place on Friday is concerned, it was the heaviest defeat, by 117 runs, for any team in the PSL seven-year-long history.
