Ian Pont finds technical flaws in Mohammad Hasnain's bowling

Ian Pont, the former English cricketer, has dug out a serious technical issue in Mohammad Hasnain’s bowling style which he believes can only be corrected by the technical bowling coaches.

Social media is full of complimentary posts for the young Pakistani pacers who terrifically bowled in his first match of the Big Bash League (BBL 2021-22) for Sydney Thunders on Sunday.

Hasnain, bowling his first dream over versus Adelaide Strikers, delivered a maiden with three wickets that surprised the lookout.

Ian, however, has identified a flaw that is understood pretty valid by the lookouts later after he pointed out.

He says he has been noticing Hasnain’s front foot splayed and bent-leg foot which may hurt his joints. Ian wonders the issue is yet not rectified.

I pointed out his front foot splay and bent leg more than two years back and it still hasn’t been rectified for the lad. Unless there are coaches who can identify this stuff and CORRECT it, bowlers will have injuries to plague them.

He terms Hasnain as a great talent and says he needs to be protected and improved.

My worry is, if such things are going uncorrected since he started. The stresses on joints are high in the lower lumbar, knee and ankle. Great talent like this needs to be protected and improved. But only technical bowling coaches will be able to do this.
