Notably, Imam’s number of runs during Pak vs Aus ODI series also broke the former record of England’s Graham Gooch, who was the feat-holder for scoring the most runs versus Australia in an ODI series back in 1985.
The batter smashed a century in the first ODI that went in vain following Adam Zampa’s heroics in the second inning. Pakistan lost the first ODI by 88 runs, however, won the next two games with hefty margins to win the series by 2-1. The player hold the momentum and slammed 106 runs from 97 balls in the next game. In the final ODI, he remained not out on 89.
