The Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) was suspended shortly after it underwent a few COVID bio-bubble violations. The virus, after threatening the nation wholly, was about to crack the IPL camps terribly but the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) took a sensible step unwillingly to c all the league off.
Later, the Indian board was in search of an appropriate window to gather all the players of the eight teams at a suitable virus-free place. They find none but the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a feasible venue to recommence the world’s cash-rich league. According to reliable reports, the event might proceed on 18th September and the final is tentative to be played on 15th October.
However, the progression looked disrupted amidst the UAE’s busy cricket hosting schedule this year. The UAE has back-to-back events to host in 2021 which could have made IPL’s place hard to be there. However, the BCCI has made its spot signing an agreement with the Arab nation’s government with the league to run before the world event, the T20 World Cup 2021.
The schedule for the World Cup is not yet drafted in detail but it is programmed to run from October 2021 to November 2021 – to start a few days after the IPL 2021.
When will IPL 2021 take place? Reveals BCCI
Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI announced that,
“We will stage it (T20 World Cup 2021) there in the UAE after the conclusion of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). We will inform the International Cricket Council soon,”
Notably, both the competitions will be entertained by three venues of the UAE. Initially, India was the original host for each of them.
