IPL 2021: Raina, Harbhajan no more on-field friends

The IPL 2021 Auction has taken place a day before and the saddest news that popped out was the breakup of Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh.

Raina and Harbhajan have always been spotted playing for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) under MS Dhoni and never have departed.

Other than IPL, the duo’s friendship is among one of the bests in the cricketing fraternity that is often noted in India’s matches on-field.

As the release and retention process took place in January, the Yellow Army released Harbhajan that broke the Harbhajan-Raina duo for CSK.

As of now, Raina is the only contestant who will continue to clinch the heights along with Dhoni for his team. Notably, Suresh could not play the complete IPL 2020 edition amidst serious family reasons and was criticized up to an extent.

It was speculated that he will not be playing IPL 2021 for CSK and any other franchise will be picking him up. But all of the folks have turned out to be false as the veteran will be rendering his services once again.

However, Harbhajan has been picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for 200 INR Lakhs. Amidst some personal rivalry, CSK has not considered picking him up again for the IPL 14.

Harbhajan, who decided not t return to the camp in UAE, was tucked amidst some serious reasons and never intent to miss IPL 2020. However, the conflict continued till then and exists now either.

Notably, CSK’s ultimate failure touched the alps last season and they remained down the table. As of now, the Dhoni-led franchise will be looking to something exceptional as people believed Raina-Harbhajan holds half of the strength of the team that missed out last season.
