IPL 2021: Player auction set to take place on 18th February
IPL 2021: A pile of big news is amazed to rock the cricket enthusiasts as the world-richest T20 league with far more ratings than any other, the Indian Premier League (IPL) player auction has been scheduled for 18th February.
The news came up with an official tweet about three hours ago and the fans are steady to witness the bids. The retention and relating process took place earlier this month earlier and many big names have been released by their respective franchises.
Chris Morris, Steve Smith, Aaron Finch, Sheldon Cortell, James Neesham, Glenn Maxwell, and many more are now not parts of their respective franchises. The other franchises can look ahead to warm their benches with a wide pool of choices available.
Notably, Chennai has also been finalized as the venue to host the entire league. Maybe the nation is haunted by the neighbor’s taunts so they have come up with an idea of not dragging the league to the UAE despite the worst COVID situation in India.

The two teams were also to be added this season but amidst less time and denial of other franchises contradicting mega-auction for adding two teams hastily have shifted this idea to the next two seasons.
The tournament has tentatively been scheduled for 11th April and is expected to last till 6th June 2021. Though, the official schedule is yet to be released.
