The president of the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly has opened up on the possibilities of Pak vs Ind bilateral series.
As the two nations have not met in any bilateral series since 2012 following the poor political relations, Ganguly sees no hopes of the series going ahead until the governments from two ends unite.
He says to progress Pak vs Ind bilateral does not rest in his or Ramiz Raja’s hands who is the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
This is not in the hands of the boards. At world tournaments, the two teams 🇵🇰 & 🇮🇳 do play each other. Bilateral cricket has been stopped for years and this is something that the respective governments have to work on. This is not in Rameez’s hands, nor mine.
The arch-rivals now only face each other in the ICC or ACC events. They last met in the Super 12 round of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The men in green, dominating with five triumphs, overpowered Virat Kohli’s chaps by 10 wickets.
Since the two teams have rivaled, the craze to watch Pak vs Ind among the lookouts is, even more, higher than before.
Let's have a bilateral series between India and Pakistan.
This politics has divided nations.
Sports unite people.

It's so sad for the game of cricket that Pakistan & India don't play more bilateral series. Just look at the stadium of the world cup final. No Asian crowd, No party. #AusVsNZ #WorldCupT20

Can we have an India-Pakistan series because no one wants to see Australia-New Zealand final!
