Lahore Qalandars make a big decision ahead of PSL 6
Lahore Qalandars, one of the most loved PSL teams, has chosen their young paceman, Shaheen Shah Afridi as the vice-skipper for the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 6).
As the T20 tournament is just a few days ahead, the LQ have popped up with bombastic news. The youngster will be a deputy to Sohail Akhtar, who led Qalandars to the final last year but ended up losing in the hands of the Imad-led blue army.
Qalandars are set to rock this season with their potent attack in every department. Sameen Rana, the COO of the team, praises the young who are empowering the team to move ahead.
The men in grey-green have always stayed at the last of the points table with maxims defeats. However, PSL 2020 brought them luck under Sohail as they reached the final. Sameen says the bulk of the team players are youngsters who are piloting the crew to the new alps.

“We have always believed in empowering youngsters. If you see our squad, a majority of the Qalandars are youngsters who have made it to this level through our own player development program.
“We believe that Shaheen (Afridi) has always been a very important member of our squad and it is the time that we start building him as a leader.”
Also, the LQ coach, Aqib Javed, believes Shaheen is a world-class cricketer. His dedication to the game will drag the team to an extra level.
“Shaheen Shah Afridi is a world-class cricketer with exceptional bowling skills. His commitment and dedication for the team are unmatched and he is keen to take the team to the next level.”
The player himself is thankful to the Qalandars’ management for the golden opportunity and looks forward to a franchise’s victorious season.
