Misbah to remain the head coach of PCB
Misbah ul Haq is to continue his job for the Pakistan Cricket Team as a head coach for an indefinite period as the CEO of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Wasim Khan has denied all the rumors coming in the way to sack Misbah.
Terming all the reports as false, Wasim says that there has been no decision taken regarding dismissing Misabh as the head coach, and no deal with Ex-Zimbabwe cricketer, Andy Flower has been signed in place of the current coach.
The CEO further elaborated the busy schedule of Flower who is going busy amidst his national commitments. Wasim tells that Andy Flower is at least not available for two more years. Also, Proteas Gary Kristen’s unavailability has been cleared as he was the favorite contestant for Misbah’s post.
“Flower will not be available for two years due to his commitments,” he said. “There is no truth to the report of him replacing Misbah. We have not signed a deal with anyone at this moment.”
It is to be noted that the bowling coach Waqar Younis and Misbah are working on a three-year deal with PCB but they can be eliminated before the given time if their horrendous performances continue in the South Africa series. As per Wasim’s comments,
“A three-year deal has been signed with him and [bowling coach] Waqar Younis but they can be let go before their given term,”
Misbah ul Haq to remain the head coach of PCB
His statements came in the enlightenment of Shoaib Akhtar’s bold claims who said,
“PCB has already offered Andy Flower the head coach job. He is not accepting it due to his coaching commitment with Multan Sultans. But once PSL is over, he’ll take over. The decision to sack Misbah is already taken. They are not giving him any chance. “
