Misbah ul Haq, the head coach of Pakistan men’s cricket team is ready to welcome Mohammad Amir who has taken an indefinite break from Pakistan Cricket being unsatisfied and underpressured under the current management.

Amir, who recently announced the shocking news, believes that he is mentally tortured by the current PCB management and has serious issues with the bowling coach Waqar Younis.

However, Misbah says that he will welcome the star again who left disheartened on not being selected in the squad against New Zealand.

“Amir’s recent performance was not up to the mark as compared to the other bowlers including Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain,” Misbah said in a presser at Gaddafi Stadium.

Praising Amir’s bowling, Misbah added that he is ready to welcome him again in the squad if he accepts to play for Pakistan and meet the expectation to be eligible for the selection criteria.

“He is a quality bowler and, even though what has happened, if he plays and performs to the expectations, I will welcome him in the side,” he added.

The former chief selector added that he respects Amir’s decision to take retirement from the red-ball format but he could have led the bowling depart binding forces with Wahab Riaz. Amir and Wahab being the experienced pacers in the side could have enhanced the bowling strength of the team.

“I respected his decision of taking retirement from Tests but in shorter formats, he and Wahab have to lead the department as you can’t go on a survival mode of performing in one match out of five,” he maintained.
