Mohammad Amir continues his taunts for PCB

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday named the squads for the upcoming home T20I series versus England, tri-series including New Zealand and Bangladesh, and the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. A separate squad has been named for Pak vs Eng T20I series, whereas the team announced for the tri-series will also don the jerseys in the all-important World Cup in Australia.

Mohammad Amir, the former cricketer, is once again in the headlines the same way he was when Shaheen Shah Afridi was ruled out of Pakistan’s Asia Cup 2022 squad. Notably, Amir’s fans chanted for him to take his retirement back and speculated about his inclusion in place of Shaheen. Seeing himself trending on Twitter, he posted a cheeky tweet penning out,

This time, he has called the chief selector Mohammad Wasim’s choice ‘cheap’ and thinks a better squad could have been decided. His tweet reads,

A local journalist, often bashed on social media for various reasons, was also of the same view as Amir. He posted mentioning Wasim as the most pathetic selector ever and claimed that the results would be even worst. The former cricketer, who announced his retirement due to his unstable relations with the PCB, also supported the journalist’s idea by retweeting his post. The post is as follows:
