Mohammad Amir flies to Dubai for T20 World Cup

Mohammad Amir, Pakistan’s former bowler, has left for Dubai to cheer for the motherland in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 that has started today. The bowler could have been the team’s part but instead chose to retire from Pakistan Cricket following his personal conflicts with the board, PCB.

Although he retired temporarily but made himself once again available for national selection recently. Despite the conflicts, the PCB offered him Domestic Contract 2020-21, Category A, but he furiously turned it down saying that the board should know about his retirement, league-oriented future plans.

Notably, Babar Azam and co also have reached Dubai to kick-start their T20 World Cup campaign versus India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 24th October.

Amir, the greatest of pacers Pakistan has ever produced, has been inspiring on the field with the ball in hand. Destructive with the new ball or at death overs, he has always portrayed an appealing showcase in all formats despite a few downfalls.

His performance versus India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final will always be cherished by the lookouts. Amir grasped the top-order completely demolishing giving a setback to men in blue as Shikar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli have to bid farewell to the ground.

He could have proved his worth by paving his way to this World Cup as well but it is said no player is bigger than the system. Fans will still be able to see Amir, but sadly, not in international cricket anymore. It is heard that he might move to the UK to play further cricket and will remember a notable part of t20 leagues, contests across the world.
