Mohammad Amir, the Pakistani pacer has revealed a legend from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). As he has predicaments under the ‘discriminatory’ PCB current management, he took an indefinite retirement from international cricket. He believes the coaches prefer ‘favoritism’ probably targeting Misbah ul Haq and Waqar Younis, however, assumes Wasim Akram as a legend.
Wasim, the former pacer, might be Amir’s only favorite personality from PCB as the 29-year old has been making headlines for slamming the remaining board’s committee and coaches. Praising the swing bowler, Amir uttered that Wasim Bhai has never tried to be a coach and shares positive guidelines. He moreover added that people like Wasim are not born daily.
Notably, the duo of Wasim and Amir serves Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League as a bowling coach and a player respectively. Accompanying that, Wasim is one of the respective members of the PCB committee.
Mohammad Amir names a legend from the PCB
To be honest, he never tried to be a coach. He always tells you things with a positive mindset. Whenever you go to him, even when I go to him, he guides me according to what modern-day cricket demands. That’s why I believe, Wasim Bhai is a legend. And, legends like him do not bear daily. He is accurate with cricket knowledge and techniques.
Talking to media personnel about the recent Pakistan captain, Babar Azam, Amir continued that as he has got an additional role of leading the team, it might take time for him to prove his worth. He says that commenting on his captaincy is too early as of now. The Amir-Babar duo is keen to represent the Kings as the remainder of the PSL 6 commences from 9th July.
See, he has got an additional responsibility as a captain. Now, he is supposed to look after himself, his batting, and then captaincy, it’s not easy at all. You need to give him some time, saying anything about his captaincy at this moment would be too early I guess.
