Mohammad Amir speaks once again on Misbah and Waqar

Mohammad Amir has been making a pile of news from the last few months. His controversial statements against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and its management are taking all over the internet.

After taking an indefinite break from cricket under the current management, he says that he is mentally tortured and should not be considered for the squads at least under Waqar Younis.

His recent statements conclude that the coaches, Misbah ul Haq and Waqar Younis are good as a player but need another kind of personality as the coaches.

Amir believes that good players do not always make good coaches for any board.

Mohammad Amir “Waqar Younis was a legendary pace-bowler and Misbah was a great captain but the mindset with players while coaching is a different education altogether. It’s not always the case that a good player can make a good coach” #Cricket

On the other hand, in Misbah’s recent statements, he has said that he is ready to welcome Amir again if he agrees to play for Pakistan and shows performances.

“Amir’s recent performance was not up to the mark as compared to the other bowlers including Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain,” Misbah said in a presser at Gaddafi Stadium.

“He is a quality bowler and, even though what has happened, if he plays and performs to the expectations, I will welcome him in the side,” he added.

The former chief selector added that he respects Amir’s decision to take retirement from the red-ball format but he could have led the bowling depart binding forces with Wahab Riaz. Amir and Wahab being the experienced pacers in the side could have enhanced the bowling strength of the team.

“I respected his decision of taking retirement from Tests but in shorter formats, he and Wahab have to lead the department as you can’t go on a survival mode of performing in one match out of five,” he maintained.
