Geo News reported that the residence of veteran cricketer Mohammad Hafeez located in Defence was burglarized late on Sunday. The Defence Police Station has already filed a First Information Report (FIR) in connection with the incident.

Hafeez’s wife’s uncle filed the complaint, as both Hafeez and his wife are currently not at home. While Hafeez is playing for the Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8, his wife is in Islamabad for work.

According to the police, the robbery took place in the middle of the night on Sunday. As per the FIR, the robbers made off with $20,000, £4,000, €3,000, and 5,000 AED.

CCPO Lahore, Bilal Siddique, has taken notice of the incident and has requested a report from SP Cantt. He has also ordered an immediate inquiry into the matter.
