Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan’s wicketkeeping batter, has failed to inspire the lookouts in the recently-concluded ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Although he has been a batting delight for the men in green, his journey throughout the all-important event was not something to register record.
As a result of the striving campaign, Rizwan has stayed in the second position on the T20I rankings for batters as the ICC updated its rankings on Wednesday. On the other hand, India’s Suryakumar Yadav enjoyed a great stint in the World Cup 2022, hence, has retained the top spot on the list.

The Indian batter dethroned Rizwan in the T20I rankings for batters on 2nd November when ICC last updated its rankings. He has ended his World Cup stint with 239 from six games averaging 59.75. At the same time, Rizwan could only amass 175 runs from seven matches at an average of 25.
Rizwan’s counterpart Babar Azam has also climbed from fourth to the third position as he struggled even more than Rizwan to score runs in the recent edition of the World Cup.
Earlier, he was replaced by Rizwan as the World’s number 1 batter. Despite not being able to score runs this World Cup, he had aspired on the top slot for the most number of days.
