Pakistan Cricket has been on the verge of rising this year. From batting to the bowling departs and with the inclusion of the fielding, the players have been dominating with the terrific remarks.
Discussing Test Cricket, in which Pakistan have been producing stars over the years, have witnessed Abid Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi as the top-run maker and wicket-taker for Pakistan in 2021.
Abid, the right-handed opening batsman has 1180 Test runs in 16 matches at an average of 49.2. In the calendar year, he has gathered 695 runs in nine red-ball encounters at an average of 49.64. His innings have gathered two hundreds and two fifties.
His one of the two hundreds came recently during the first test versus Bangladesh. Abid added 133 in the first inning and blew the Tigers’ bowlers scoring 91 in the team’s final inning.
On the other hand, the young pacer, Shaheen Afridi has been leading the bowling charts in all formats. As far Tests are discussed, he is placed above others.
In 2021, Afridi has grasped 47 wickets surprisingly in Test matches at an average of 17.06. During the tenure, he also grabbed a ten-wicket-haul for 94 versus West Indies at Sabina Park.
His best figures count a six-wicket haul for 51 Afridi versus West Indies in the second Test during Pakistan tour to West Indies 2021.
