Naseem Shah Lights it up for Quetta Gladiators

Naseem Shah reveals Pakistan Cricket has no facilities available to club cricketers in England

Quetta Gladiators found the light at the end of the tunnel in yesterday’s match against Karachi Kings, and it was Naseem Shah who guided the way for them.

Quetta began their PSL campaign with a disappointing loss from Peshawar Zalmi. The fans were quick to judge skipper Sarfaraz for his messed-up decisions and incapability as a captain.

But all the sorrow got washed away when Quetta Gladiator put Karachi Kings to shame in their second match through a humiliating defeat. Gladiators’ prodigious right-arm fast bowler spewed his unplayable pace on the pitch, hunting down five crucial Kings’ players.

The 18-year-old made stunning figures of 5/20 in 3.3 overs with the economy of 5.71 in the match to bag the man of the match award, his first-ever in T20s. As a result, the opposition got all-out on 113 runs. The men in purple achieved the target in the 16th over, winning by eight wickets.

It was a great come-back for Naseem Shah, who hadn’t made an appearance in the short format for the national side the entire year. The youngster was also unable to make a mark in last year’s PSL, where Quetta Gladiators finished last in the table.

Needless to say, the cricket fraternity is over-joyed to see the young gun using his skills to the best of his ability.

Team Quetta will definitely be looking for a replication of his performance in upcoming matches.
