Pak vs SA: Pakistan restrict South Africa to 108 to thumb up

Pak vs SA

Pakistan locked horns with South Africa in their all-important clash of the Super 12 round of ICC T20 World Cup 2022 and luckily thumbed up with a decent margin.

Earlier in the day, the men in green won the toss and elected to bat first. Their decision turned out fruitful as they amassed 185 in the first inning with the courtesies of Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed’s power show.

However, while bowling, the target was reduced to 142 required from 14 overs as the rain propelled the DLS method. South Africa lost six scalps within eight runs, ranging from 95 to 108, and fell short of wickets to manage the target.

It left Pakistan in cheers ticking two of the three boxes, now anticipating overpowering Bangladesh in their subsequent encounter. Notably, Shaheen Shah Afridi turned out to be the top wicket-taker with a three-wicket haul, followed by Shadab Khan’s two wickets.

Pak vs Ban is now scheduled for November 6th, Sunday. The men in green are currently placed third on the points table with an NRR of +1.117 and four points.
