Pak vs SL 1st Test: Pakistan bowl out Sri Lanka on 222

Pakistan Cricket Team showcased tremendous bowling on Day 1 of the Pak vs SL 1st Test in Galle; consequently, bowling hosts Sri Lanka out on a low total of 222. The batters could not settle fronting the attacking bowling from Shaheens and departed in 66.1 overs in the game’s opening inning.

Oshada Fernando tried to give a solid start but walked back to dugout on 35 coming from 49 balls, whereas the opening partner Dimuth Karunaratne became Shaheen Shah Afridi’s prey on a single that came off an over and a ball.

All Pakistani bowlers dispatched brilliancy but undoubtedly, Hasan Ali, who has been under criticism for a long, proved his critics wrong. The fast bowler clutched two wickets at an economy of 1.92 as he yielded 23 runs in 12 overs.

Shaheen’s courtesy of 4-wicket-haul is unmatchable. He targetted SL’s skipper, Dhananjaya de Silva, Niroshan Dickwella, and Maheesh, while conceding 58 runs in 14.1 overs. The most number of overs were delivered by Yasir Shah, who has returned to the national fold after a notable gap. He picked two wickets, and gave away 66 runs in 21 overs.

As far as Naseem Shah is concerned, he could take a single wicket and threw 53 runs bowling 13 overs. Mohammad Nawaz bowled the least number of overs, six, and conceded 18 runs alongside picking one batter.

Day 1 of Pak vs SL 1st Test continues as Pakistan, at the time of writing, trail by 201 innings, falling short of two men, and will be in action until stumps.
