
Pak W vs SL W: Pakistan women’s cricket team has beaten Sri Lanka women’s cricket team in a three-match T20I series, winning the first two encounters, with the final to spare.
The T20I series happening at the Southend Club Karachi, kick-started on May 24th. The home siders thrashed away the guests by six wickets. The second match that took place today, on May 26th, saw the girls in green leading by seven wickets. As far as the third and the final t20I is concerned, it is scheduled to be played on May 28th, giving SL W a chance to avoid the whitewash.
The guests won the toss and elected to bat first. They could amass 102 runs falling short on balls, and losing six wickets. From the hosts’ end, the bowlers rocked being economical and all gathered one wicket apiece. Tuba Hasan, the limelight of the first match, was undoubtedly the best among them conceding only 13 runs in four overs.
After Bismah Maroof and co marched on the field to chase, opener Muneeba Ali departed on 17 runs coming from 23 balls. The top-order batter Gul Feroza could not survive after three runs either. Later, Irum Javed, Bismah, and Ayesha Naseem totalled 11, 22, and 45 runs respectively to cheer for the second consecutive victory. Pak W chased successfully in 17.1 overs and lost only three wickets.
