Pakistan T20 World Cup middle-order trio of Sohaib Maqsood, Azam Khan, and Khushdil Shah, which was induced in Southern Punjab for the National T20 Cup 2021 to get some practice ahead of the world event, has miserably been flopped in all three matches of the domestic tournament they have played yet.

Initially, when Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) named them in the Wt20 squad, there were immense criticism on their inclusion. It was said the hard-hitters will be proving their worth in crucial times but combined nine innings of the three players do not even gather 10 sixes at one place.

Asif Ali, another criticised batter, had also been in the Wt20 squad who was induced in Northern’s crew for the NT20. But, the lad has scored 43* and 10 respectively in Northern’s two encounters happened yet.

On the other hand, Maqsood, Khushdil, and Azam’s contributions assemble 128 runs in 100 balls for Southern. Fans query if Pakistan should already look for alternatives ahead of the World Cup set to kick-start from 17th October in the UAE.
