Misbah ul Haq says Virat Kohli's batting suffers due to his mental issues

Pakistan team’s head coach, Misbah ul Haq, may not join the men in green for the home series against New Zealand starting from 17th September. As a consequence, green shirts will undergo three-match ODI, five-match T20I series in Rawalpindi, Lahore respectively without the head coach.

Misbah tested COVID positive following the red-ball series versus the West Indies and has not returned yet. Although he went through a necessary quarantine period and will return to Pakistan tomorrow, there is no clear announcement regarding his induction into the crew.

According to reports, the team’s bowling coach, Waqar Younis, alongside Saqlain Mushtaq, who is the head of International Player Development at the National High-Performance Centre (NHPC), will take over the duties.

As the national players will enter a bio-secure bubble on 8th September, there are no speculations regarding Misbah’s availability. The players will also undergo the COVID19 test in their respective cities before entering the bubble.

The team is already without the batting coach as Younis Khan refrained from his duties after Zakir Khan’s threatening statements. Younis revealed himself that why he stepped down as a coach. Must read here.
