Wasim Khan, the CEO of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has uttered good news for the Cricket fans as the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2021) is all set to commence as per the schedule. Notably, the consequences of the PSL-PCB meeting warned that the event might be called off if the board does not get clarifications on a few exemptions by the UAE till Thursday. After receiving all outstanding approvals, the event is good to go in the United Arab Emirates from 1st June.
PSL 2021: Good news for fans
The PCB added that they have “received all outstanding approvals and exemptions from the United Arab Emirates government”.
Wasim was spotted conversing with the sources where he was delighted to announce the possibilities of the PSL 2021. Till the last meeting, the future of the event was hanging by a thread despite UAE and ECB’s willingness to recommence the event.
“We are delighted with this development as the remaining hurdles in the staging of the remaining HBL PSL 6 matches in Abu Dhabi have been overcome and all systems are now good to go,”
As of now, the PCB is in touch with the stakeholders of the six franchises as the operational strategies are under consultation. Notably, the revised schedule and details will be on-screened shortly. The final of the event is set to be played on 20th June.
“The PCB, in consultation with the team owners, will now work at pace to finalize all event-related arrangements, details of which will be shared in due course.
It is pertinent to mention here that the event was terminated after a few breaches in the bio-bubble were confirmed. The tournament could coil up only fourteen matches and now will witness from the fifteenth encounter due to lock horns between the Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United.
