PSL 2021: Which team will pick Fakhar Zaman?

The left-handed batsman, Fakhar Zaman has parted ways with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, Lahore Qalandars just a few months before PSL 6 is to be initiated.

He was placed in the platinum category for the Qalandars but as of now, he has returned for the selection in the players draft.

The player confirmed the news at night on 30th December as he officially posted a farewell on Twitter.

Thank you @lahoreqalandars for the last 4 memorable seasons. You’ve played a huge role in my career by providing me an opportunity to showcase my skills. Looking forward to a new challenge in the upcoming season.

PSL 2021: Which team will pick Fakhar Zaman?

The official Twitter of the PSL added:

JUST IN: Star batsman Fakhar Zaman will be moving on to another team this season. Which team do you think can pick @FakharZamanLive at the #HBLPSL Draft?

Parting ways from LQ means already having a signed contract with another franchise. Most people believe that Fakhar has signed the deal either with Multan Sultans or Peshawar Zalmi.

It is to mention that the two times PSL champions, Islamabad United have got the first pick in the pick order recently revealed for the PSL 2021. But, the side will not opt to go with Fakhar unless they have a Ronchi-Munro duo for the opening post.

Multan Sultans are at higher chances of picking Fakhar as their opening batsman and can link him up with Shan Masood. Sultans have gotten the second pick and the owner of the franchise was noted tweeting an eye-opening emoji under Fakhar’s tweet.

The third pick goes to Lahore Qalandars but there is no use in mentioning that the player has refrained from the side hence, they will not retain him. If not Sultans, then Javed Afridi will probably select him in the players’ draft for PSL 6 as Peshawar Zalmi are placed fourth.
