Preview and Analysis:

Qalandars have always been terrifically strong but no one clearly defines the reason behind their defeats. Writing sarcastically, the men in gray-green have always stayed at the top of the table; from downwards, however, the PSL 2020 has brought them luck with the changing skipper. No coach, no changing squad, no skipper worked until Sohail Akhtar was given the duties – hats off to the underrated player and leader.

They played their last game against Karachi Kings facing in the final of the lastly held season. It was the first time LQ reached the final but unfortunately, lost the game with Kings having an upper hand with the bowl. Qalandars, failing with the bowl and giving a bit least target of 135, let red-blue won by five wickets. It was disappointing for them and their fans, however, the plan is to bounce back till clinching the HBL PSL 6 trophy.

Upon examining their current strength, they can be termed as the second-best squad as Quetta Gladiators have inspired everyone with their selection. However, Qalandars are nevertheless. Picking Mohammad Hafeez can play as the major card for them as the professor has been in an outstanding form in T20I in the past year.

Picking Rashid Khan, who is the world number 1 T20 bowler, has blistered them twice. Whereas, the pacer can bind forces with Shaheen Shah Afridi as the youngster has much rarely failed to inspire. Haris Rauf, who got viral after his BBL’s performances, is another terrific bowler and has granted enough to the gray-green jerseys. Who can deny the services of Samit Patel, and Dilbar Hussain – the exceptionally tendered line-up.

The opening order might collide as Fakhar Zaman has not been seen in the proper form for a long time. However, the likes of Ben Dunk, Sohail Akhtar, and David Weise’s sixes in crucial times can help the side a lot.
