PSL 2021: Top three boundary hitters to watch for

The Pakistan Super League (PSL 2021) is going to hit the stages by 20th February and the six franchises are all set to compete with each other. With the HBL PSL draft done, the management has auctioned world-class hitters.

Likes of Kamran Akmal, Liam Livingstone, Alex Hales, and many more, will be itching to go out and blast the bowlers. The stats in just five seasons held are brilliant and here are the top three hitters ready to rock the grounds that you can watch in the sixth HBL PSL.

Kamran Akmal

Peshawar Zalmi’s hard-hitting and wicket-keeping batsman Kamran Akmal has been hitting the bowlers for fun since the start of Pakistan Super League. He has hit 77 sixes in 55 innings. Among the active players, he leads the table.

The leading run-scorer of PSL, Kamran has personally enjoyed hitting sixes against the Karachi Kings. His best six hitting was eight maximums against his favorite opposition in 2018, where he scored 77 from 27 balls in the second eliminator to knock the Kings out of the competition. He is one to watch out for.

Asif Ali

Asif Ali is known from the start as a six-hitter. When he hits, he hits clean and beautifully. He made his PSL debut in the 2017 edition, and since then hitting the ball hard for fun. He has hit 50 sixes and among the active players, he is listed as second.

Islamabad United’s big gun, Asif’s best hitting in an innings came against the Karachi Kings, where he hit six maximum in innings in his run of 70 from 38. No matter the length you bowl, Asif will hit you well. So bowlers, better make a good plan.

Chris Gayle

The Universe Boss is back! Chris Gayle will be playing his third PSL edition and this time, he has been picked by 2019 champions Quetta Gladiators. Across the two seasons he played, Gayle has hit 22 sixes in 14 innings. His best hitting came against Quetta Gladiators in 2016, where he scored 60 from 34 balls, He hit six maximums.

Despite his not-so-good PSL record, Gayle has an excellent record overall in the Twenty20s. He has hit 1001 sixes, easily the most and the only player in the world to do so. On Pakistan pitches, Gayle will be licking his lips to go hard on bowlers.
