The replacement draft for the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 6) is scheduled to take place on 27th April, Tuesday.
The event was called off with fourteen matches winded up successfully. Pakistan, suffering the second wave of the COVID, could not resist it from entering the players’ franchise camps.
Consequently, a countable number of players, officials were tested COVID positive. To stop the wider spread, the board called to suspend the PSL 6 until the situation is properly tackled in a secure bio-bubble.
Notably, a number of breaches were noted reportedly by different players, officials, etc. As a result, the PCB has contracted a British Company to prepare a bio-bubble for all franchises of the PSL 2021.
PSL 6: How many foreign players are available for the replacement draft?
Getting back the replacement draft, a very thin list of foreign players is available to choose from for the six PSL franchises. Amidst the COVID, players’ neglecting is normal as they choose to stay home rather than traveling the cricket-loving nation with over 80k cases.
The PCB has handed over a chart of around 130 international players to the franchise owners. The notable names from Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and West Indies are available.
Usman Khwaja, James Faulkner, Adam Milne, Martin Guptill, Morne Morkel, and Andre Rusell have been included in the PSL 6 replacement draft.
The event resumes on 1st June as Karachi will be hosting from the match 15th to the rest of the PSL 6 matches.
