PSL 6: Delightful news for National, Gadaffi Stadium’s spectators

The crowd is finally allowed in the National Stadium Karachi, Gadaffi Stadium Lahore as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officiated the news. The two cities of Pakistan will be witnessing 20% of the crowd which means NSK will exhibit over 7,000 fans whereas, Gadaffi ground will allow over 5,000 of the watchers.

Notably, after the COVID outspread in early 2020, a few of the matches, including the playoffs and final, were hosted behind closed doors. The tournament was shattered for a similar reason as the management decided to move it to late 2020.

The digital platforms bloomed with the PSL 6 crowd allowances news last month. To discuss the scenario, the meeting took place on Thursday as the National Command Operation Center (NCOC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have come face to face to discuss the health and safety rules for the crowd.

However, as per the sources, no COVID test is necessary before entering the stadiums, whereas, the social distance will be followed as per the rules and regulations.

A source added,

PCB has confirmed that 20% of crowds will be allowed to attend PSL matches. The decision means around 7,500 ticketed spectators will be allowed access inside the National Stadium each match day, while around 5,500 will be able to attend each match at the Gaddafi Stadium

It will be a massive success for Pakistan to organize the league within the country despite COVID fears and allow the spectators. Probably, crowd-less matches were not even enjoyed by the fans, and they were awaited for the allowance.

The first match of the PSL 2021 is to be played between the current title defenders Karachi Kings and the Quetta Gladiators on 20th February at National Stadium Karachi. Click here to see the schedule.
