PSL 7 Qualifier: Victorious Sultans to lock horns with Qalandars

The Qualifier of the 7th release of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 7) is all set to take place on Wednesday. The fans are super excited to fulfill Gadaffi’s seats for the extravaganza to see their top two favourites; Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars ready to battle in the PSL 7 Qualifier.

Both contestants will fight to become the first PSL 7 Qualifier. The one, winning the contest, will directly be heading towards the final, whereas, the failing team will get another chance to prove themselves in Eliminator 2. It must be noted that Eliminator 1 will be played between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United. The winning side will have to tackle the losers of the Qualifier round in Eliminator 2 – the winning team will reach the grand finale to lock horns with the Qualifiers victors.

As far as Sultans performance throughout the season is considered, they are the only team to win 9 out of 10 games. Qalandars were the only side to overpower Mohammad Rizwan’s side in the season. Otherwise, the Sultans floated with the flow smoothly. They are all set to revenge Qalandars for their only loss on the league stage.

Before their loss in PSL 7 in the hands of Qalandars, Sultans were coming with six back-to-back wins. They kick-started their journey with a thrilling victory over Karachi Kings in the opener at the National Stadium. Overall, they became the first team to win seven matches in a row including the PSL 2021 final.

Pitch and weather report for PSL 7 Qualifier

Concerning Gadaffi’s pitch, the batters are seen favoured. The teams have consistently reached 200 or nearby run mark. Chasing has been quite easy for the teams, hence, the one winning the toss, is likely to opt for bowling first. Regarding the weather, the experts say it might be a cloud burst in Lahore with the clouds covering the ground periodically. The temperature will fall below 20 Degree Celsius, whereas, the humidity will be 70%.
