PSL 7: Sarfaraz and Shadab engage in funny banter ahead of Clash

shadab and sarfaraz banter

Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators will be face-to-face in the tenth match of Pakistan Super League PSL seventh edition. Both the teams have won one match and both teams will be looking forward to their second win of this year’s release.

Speaking of PSL facts, the communication manager of Pakistan Cricket Board Ibrahim Badees shared a tweet in which he mentioned how the United’s skipper Shadab has never claimed the wicket of Sarfaraz Ahmed the Quetta captain.

In reply, the wicket-keeper hoped that it would stay the same way in today’s encounter. Shadab, who is famous for his quick wit and humour answered the former national captain saying that he prays that it remains the same but his team wins the match.

The two players share immense respect on and off the field. Shadab had also previously stated how he learned to captain the team by looking at Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Team red and team purple have gone head-to-head 13 times. Gladiators have claimed victory 7 times while United have bagged 6 wins so far.

The two outings in the previous season between these teams proved to be in the favour of Shadab and co. This match however, is very important for the purple force as they have already suffered two losses in three games. Islamabad United has also undergone defeat in one match but they only played two, the other one they won against Peshawar Zalmi.

The good news for the Quetta side is that they have welcomed in the team two power-hitters Jason Roy and James Vince and the star-studded Shahid Afridi is also back after testing negative of the virus.

This will be the second last match for both the franchises in the Karachi leg. Gladiators will play their last match here against Lahore Qalandars on 7th Feb, while Islamabad United will face Karachi Kings on 6th.
