PSL: Shinwari’s top no-ball moments that changed the game

PSL 2018: KK vs LQ:

Lahore Qalandars were continuing their losing streak of six before they faced Karachi Kings in the Robin Hood stage. It would have been seven consecutive defeats for Qalandars but Shinwari changed the game scenario.

The men in grey-green needed 16 runs in the final over. The skipper smashed 12 runs off the first three balls. He could have been gone to the pavilion later but a no-ball got spotted from Shinwari’s end.

The game was clearly in Kings’ favor until Usman costed them. With a single being scored, the score leveled, and the game was dragged to super over. However, this single off delivery left many people in confusion. What was the rule?? Sameen Rana did not know even.

Sunil Narine stole the show with a thrilling super-over win defending 11 runs to end the sixth consecutive defeat’s line-up for LQ.

PSL 2021: QG vs LQ

Shinwari, being auctioned by Gladiators this season, has once again costed a game to his team. Bowling the 14th over of the game, Shinwari delivered 5th ball as a no-ball – that too with a six of Professor.

Hafeez has clearly been in form since 2020 in the T20 format. He is showing it in PSL as well. The batter smashed 73 runs off 33 balls and remained not out giving some critical blows to the Sarfaraz-led Gladiators.

If that could not have been the six on no-ball and the extra runs later on free hit, the game could have been survived for Gladiators.

Shinwari conceded 19 runs in that over and as a result, his captain called him saying “Idhar ao mere se bat karo” angrily to set him for his next over.
