PSL Top moments: Peshawar Zalmi vs Multan Sultans

PSL, Top Moments

The fifth match of HBL PSL 2021 was between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans.

Peshawar Zalmi began their season with a loss to Lahore Qalandars in a game they could have won. Their batsmen did not put up enough total to challenge the opposition, especially the top-order, who fell cheaply.

Multan Sultans were in great form last season as they topped the group. However, they lost their first game to Islamabad United in a thrilling encounter. They did almost everything right in their first match, only to be spoiled by Sohail Tanvir’s final over.

Peshawar Zalmi won the match against Multan Sultans, chasing down 194 by six wickets.

Now, we will take a look at the top moments of this match of PSL.

PSL top moments

1. Haider Ali – The finisher

Haider Ali was under scrutiny due to his poor form across formats. But the lad did not disappoint when he came to finish the match off. 30 odd runs were required from the last three overs and Haider scored 25 runs from eight balls as he helped to chase the target down by six balls remaining.

2. James Vince’s firing form

James Vince was coming off from an excellent Big Bash League, where he was part of the winning squad Sydney Sixers. He performed brilliantly and carried his form here. He scored 84 runs from 55 balls to set the target of 194 to the Zalmi. Unfortunately, the Sultan bowlers could not defend such a total.

3. Wahab’s day-off

PSL, Wahab Riaz

Wahab Riaz had a poor day with the ball, as he conceded 51 runs in four overs, being the most expensive bowler in the match along with Multan Sultan’s Sohail Tanvir. Fans were not kind to the captain of Peshawar Zalmi and quickly trolled the fast bowler.
