PSL Top moments: Peshawar Zalmi vs Quetta Gladiators

PSL, Top moments

Win-less Quetta Gladiators takes on Peshawar Zalmi in the eighth match of HBL PSL 2021.

Peshawar Zalmi won a great game against Multan Sultans, chasing down 190 in a great game. With them off the mark this PSL, they will be looking to continue winning and they will face Quetta Gladiators next.

Quetta Gladiators meanwhile would need to win this match whatever it takes. They are dead bottom at the table with a poor net run-rate. A win here will boost them for the next matches.\

However, as the streak of chasing was expected, Peshawar Zalmi chased down Quetta Gladiators 198 in a thrilling fashion. Let’s look at the top moments today.

PSL Top moments

1. Out of the ground sixes

There were two sixes that went out of the ground and umpires had to get the new ball. First, it was from Azam Khan, who hit Wahab Riaz for six that went out of the ground. Wahab gave it back, to Dale Steyn as he smashed one of the two sixes that changes the whole course of the match.

2. Those two sixes by Wahab Riaz

Wahab Riaz was beaten horribly by Sarfaraz Ahmed and Azam Khan during the QG innings. He gave away 54 runs in his four overs without taking any wicket. But when he came out to bat, he smashed two massive sixes to Dale Steyn. That over had already gone for eight runs and Wahab added more salt in the wound as he clubbed two sixes to change the game.

3. Saqib Mahmood’s three-wicket last over

If there was a moment where the game had won by Peshawar Zalmi, it was in Saqib Mahmood’s over where he bowled the last over of QG innings. He picked three wickets and conceded three legal runs with three extras. This is something that will go unnoticed.
