PSL: Dale Steyn is one of the greatest South Africa’s fast bowler of all time. He represented South African in 265 international matches, picking up a South African record 439 Test wickets, 196 ODI wickets and 64 T20I wicket.
He was perhaps the greatest bowler that bowled in Test cricket post-2000 and remained the number one bowler for seven consecutive years. At the peak of his powers, Steyn possessed a lithe and wiry body, a steaming run-up that culminated in an aerodynamic action, and a ripper of an outswinger. Extreme pace, the ability to swing the ball both ways, and accuracy have perhaps made him the country’s best ever.
He has been involved in some of South Africa’s greatest victories, including their rise to number one in Test cricket in 2008. Scary eyes, throbbing veins and a chainsaw celebration have all made Dale Steyn South Africa’s most feared fast bowler.
PSL: Twitter reactions on Dale Steyn
Everyone have their peak days and then their ending days. Dale Steyn was no longer the bowler everyone know. Though he wasn’t that great in T20 internationals, many still respected the bowler. Last night in a thrilling game between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, Dale Steyn bowled the penultimate over where he needed to defend 27 runs from 12 balls.
However, he was smashed three sixes in which two were by Wahab Riaz as the over went for 21, eventually sealing the match for the 2017 champions.
Here are some of the reactions.

Dale Steyn is the GOAT ? of Test Cricket. Was, Is & Always ll be.
Dale Steyn is mediocre T20 Bowler. Was, Is & Always will be.
His full length is canon fodder for T20 batsmen to hit across the line. No surprise deliveries,No change of pace,No knuckle balls. He is not made for T20.

I remember when India played South Africa during Dale Steyn's prime, I literally used to close my eyes a little when he bowled because I didn't want to see the stumps of an Indian batsman flying.
Dale Steyn in his prime was a different breed! https://t.co/ROK2grgFH7

When you have seen a player do his thing at his prime, watching him struggle towards the end of their career can be difficult to witness.Advertisement
Dale Steyn is that player for me.

Dale Steyn hasn't enjoyed bowling at the end lately. Went for 26 runs in 19th over for RCB last year in Dubai and 21 for Quetta in PSL tonight. Gotta feel for Sarfaraz who was brilliant with the bat but still ends up at losing side. #PSL2021
